Wayne in Hollywood
Friday, October 17th, 2008
So I have been in California for about a month now and finally took a trip to L.A. No, I didn’t see Angel and Wesley running around slaying demons, but I didn’t spend a whole lot of time there today. I did get some neat photos on the Walk of Fame though. Here are some that I figured some of you guys would like:
The Chinese Theater is the location where all the stars put their hands and feet into the cement and then sign it. I found a couple that were really neat, especially the last one:
I am planning on going back soon and hopefully getting some more photos of some historic places. One interesting thing I learned today: the stars on the Walk of Fame are not gifts. The stars pay $25,000 as a fee to have their name on the street. They are nominated and then selected by a commitee, so not just anyone can have their name in concrete. They still have to pay the fee as a “security” fee for the ceremony and it covers the cost of the ceremony.
Look for more from me in the future!

Wayne! You’re alive! Yay!
So, did you have fun pointing at all the out of work actors at the Chinese Theater. Me and my sister had fun doing that last time we were in LA.
I think he’s getting close to being settled in too. So hopefully we’ll be able to record soon, and you can verify that we are both still in fact alive.
It’s good to hear both of your voices.
Randy’s alive!!
They’re alive!!!!!!
*ahem*
I just had to get that out of my system. ;)
Of course, seeing Randy playing on XBox Live several times had clued me in to his continued existence before he showed up here.
So Wayne, how are you liking the west coast so far?
Alive and well. Annoyed that Wayne left though. You never know how much you miss friends until they are gone.
We are waiting for Wayne to get a few more pieces of the mixer puzzle before we begin recording again. Should be in next week, so hopefully we can begin recording again shortly. I know I have a lot to talk about, I imagine Wayne does as well. Hopefully we can get some sort of primitive schedule worked out. Though when you rely on others to take you places, it’s often hard to do that.
It’s so good to hear from you. Thank God you’re ok.
Yay! Randy!! Welcome back.
I refrain from saying I’m good, because I really have no clue how good I am until I go back in for my first post-surgery MRI (Besides the one immediately after I woke up) in December. But I’ve felt great, so there is that.
And Randy’s alive too! ‘Tis an early Christmas miracle, it ’tis. (sorry, stacking the Christmas junk at work already)
It’ll be a fantabulous day when we hear you two chuckleheads again. Honest-like. :P
Wow. Jealousy reigns supreme. And hearing Xbox makes me want to go play right now….at three in the morning.
