So many trailers so little time, its that time of the week again, and we have some great trailers this week.
Over the past few years, writer/director Judd Apatow (’The 40-Year-Old Virgin,’ ‘Knocked Up’) has shown that nothing — not even losing your virginity or the miracle of childbirth — is sacred. About his third film behind the camera, he says, “I’m trying to make a very serious movie that is twice as funny as my other movies. Wish me luck!” Apatow directs Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann in ‘Funny People,’ the story of a famous comedian who has a near-death experience.
The film tells the story of Senn (Justin Long) and Mala (Evan Rachel Wood), two rebellious alien teens living on the beautiful planet Terra, a place that promotes peace and tolerance, having long ago rejected war and weapons of mass destruction. But when Terra is invaded by human beings fleeing a civil war and environmental catastrophe, the planet is plunged into chaos. During the upheaval, Mala befriends an injured human pilot (Luke Wilson) and each learns the two races are not so different from one another. Together they must face the terrifying realization that in a world of limited resources, only one of their races is likely to survive.

Funny people looks great. Its the first Adam sandler movie in a long time that iv looked foward to.
Battle for terra looks alot better than i was expecting, but its hard to udge 3d movies by 2d trialers.
Funny People is my most anticipated movie this year, the script is one of the best I have ever read and this trailer just makes me even more excited, I honestly can’t wait for it. I’m getting a strong “Titan AE” vibe from Battle for Terra, I might check it out if reviews are good.

Am I the only one who thought the Funny People trailer gave away a little too much of the story?
I agree. It felt more like a recap they showed me before ‘Funny People 2′.
I will say that this looks like it could be Adam Sandler’s best role. I’ve been a Sandler fan since way, way back and watching him in Punch-Drunk Love and Reign Over Me- I knew he was capable of so much more than critics give him credit for.
Funny People looks really good. I hope this is much more of the Reign Over Me Adam Sandler rather than Anger Management Adam Sandler.
Battle for Terra looks like it could have some good stuff in there, but the generic character design and lifeless facial animation isn’t doing it any favors. I do like the voice cast though. Brian Cox should do a lot more voiceover work.
