Pee Wee Herman Returns
Monday, August 10th, 2009
After decades away from the spotlight, Paul Reubens is bringing back is beloved creation, Pee Wee Herman! While Reubens’ attempts to make a new Pee Wee movie have been (so far) unsucessful, it seems that Pee Wee will be making a grand comeback to the orignal place of his creation; the stage of a comedy club! Beginning November 9th, Reubens will begin an exclusive engagement at The Music Box in Hollywood with a “reimagined, reinvented and nuttier than ever” stage show much like the celebrated HBO special Reubens recorded with the Groundlings in 1981. The show is reported to involve many of the creative talents involved with both the HBO special and the cult classic televison show Pee Wee’s Playhouse including the charecters Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Jambi the Genie, Chairry the Chair, Pettri the pterodactyl and the Magic Screen. (just to same a few.) No word as to wheter Laurence Fisburne will reprise his role of Cowboy Curtis.
If any of our readers live in California or think Pee Wee is worth the pilgrimage, here’s the ticket info:
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 11 at 8 am at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000.

Yay Pee-Wee Herman is coming back! Loved those old movies and it would be awesome if Laurence Fishburn came back.
BTW So… no chance of you proof reading your articles?
and Large Marge sent me.
As much as I loved Pee Wee as a kid “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” scared the crap out of me (it didnt stop me from watching it repeatedly, and hiding when “Large Marge” came on the screen), and “Big Top Pee Wee”? Sort of a disappointment.
The HBO special was the best for me. Then he gets a show on Saturday morning? In college at the time, definite party material. Years later I was watching Pee-wee one Saturday morning when- “we interrupt this broadcast to bring you a live report from Tiananmen square: “All around me, hundreds of students are being slain in the streets (pocka pocka pow!)” Now there’s some eye-opening children’s programming.
There also a new movie i saw it on IMDB.com it will come out in last next year
