‘Narnia’ Writers Take On ‘Captain America’
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008
After the recent addition of director Joe Johnston, it was announced today that The Chronicles of Narnia film series scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are in final negotiations to script Marvel Studios’ The First Avenger: Captain America.
Considering the film is set for release on May 6th 2011 and will lead directly into The Avengers just two months later on July 15th, Johnston is going to have to cast Steve Rogers/Captain America ASAP, but he’ll need a script first. Marvel Studios really should have hired writers months ago. I can’t imagine that Markus and McFeely will have much time to work on this. I just hope that they have it planned out, and the quality of the film won’t suffer.
Fingers crossed.
