Lopez Tonight, George Lopez’s show is on TBS, currently in the 11pm slot. Lopez called O’Brien and told him he wanted him to come to TBS and to take the 11 slot with him moving to 12.
Late night comedy shows have in some ways outdone networks on guests. Stewart and Colbert had the main runners in the last election doing camio appearences and generally do better at getting government (both US and Foreign) guests.
Personally, I think the actual story of Gears of War is pretty crappy. The overall setup to the world is kind of interesting, but the specifics told in the game are kind of ham-fisted and lame. I’ve only played through the first game, and the only reason I had fun with it was because I was playing through it with a buddy. I don’t think I would have liked it very much without the co-op. This is why I have yet to touch the second game.
I love the look of the new TRON, and I hope it turns out to be as good as Disney seems to think it is. I’ll definitely have to check it out in IMAX when it comes out.
I know next to nothing about the Kick Ass comic, but I can’t wait to see the movie. It looks like a lot of fun. Kick Ass is kicking off a ton of weeks in a row with a movie coming out I want to see.
After Kick Ass there’s The Losers, Nightmare on Elm Street, Iron Man 2, and Robin Hood. Skip a couple weeks in May and then there is Prince of Persia, Get Him to the Greek, The A-Team, Jonah Hex, Toy Story 3, Knight and Day, The Last Airbender, Predators, Inception, and Dinner for Schmucks (thanks to TrailerGEEK!). After that, it’s a couple weeks into August that we get The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
I wonder how many of these I will actually get out to see in theaters. I doubt I’ll get to them all.
Technically speaking, Glee will continue airing on Wednesday nights. You shouldn’t have any conflict with LOST. I don’t know why they aired the premiere was on Tuesday.
No, it was announced before it went on hiatus that Tuesday is it’s new night. Tv.com also reports that the next episode is 4/20 (Tuesday), and then 4/27 (Tuesday).
Where are you seeing that it’s returning to Wednesdays?
No, I guess I stand corrected. I swore I saw several websites say Wednesday…but now I think I was seeing them announce when the episode would be available to watch steaming online, the day after I guess.
Anyway, the new episode was great fun!! Great to see them back. The Beatles song was a very short scene, but I thought the Lionel Ritchie song in the library was excellent. They even made me like The All American Rejects. Can’t wait to see more.
I can’t say I loved the episode. And a couple scenes seemed a bit forced (The two glee club directors, for example). Also, overall the songs were pretty lackluster to me. Hello Goodbye was pretty meh, considering how much you know they paid for it. But I did like a few of them as well. All American Rejects was good, as was Lionel Ritchie’s Hello (Though I don’t much care for the song, I thought it was a funny scene, and you could tell why they chose that particular Actor). Also, I thought The Doors was pretty well done, considering.
I expect much better episodes for the remainder of the way. but this one was just ok. It’s not the first time I’ve felt that way about an episode, but it’s extremely rare.
I loved their Hello Goodbye and Gives you Hell. I felt the whole episode just pushed the reset button, it put the show back to where it was in the pilot (alright maybe a little beyond there), what a cop out, but I suppose it’s reasonable for an unexpected come back.
My roommate is watching the new episode as I sit here. I just heard there rendition of Hello Goodbye.
That show needs to stop using songs I like. It really does. For the first time I’m glad that McCartney and Ono charge so much for the rights to their songs to prevent much further abuses from happening.
One of the reasons I’m not a music fan is because of music snobs. Don’t make me roll my eyes at you.
Sorry Randy, Glee brings out the venom in me. I don’t have any snobbery about it or sense that it needs to be pure I just can’t stand the way they take good interesting and/or different songs and homogenize them and make them sound so bland.
Also, they’ve been making me listen to those soundtracks at work all day for the last few weeks. That’s enough to drive anyone batty.
I used to like Journey… I really did.
See, I feel the exact opposite. Most of the songs I listen to from them, I consider improvements, or at least fresh takes. But I mostly attribute that all to the group singing. Harmonizing voices always throws me for a loop. I’ll listen to any glee group that does interesting things.
Even if they are not as good in general, I still consider it more enjoyable. :)
Fun fact: the audio books of How to Train Your Dragon are read by David Tennant and supposedly contain some real fun voice work on his part. He’s an insanely talented voice actor and according to a set report I read somewhere the crew of Rex is Not Your Lawyer were unaware he was Scottish until he spoke naturalistically to them. Dunno how true that is but I buy it, he really does have fantastic vocal range.
There’s a teaser trailer for the free Doctor Who: The Adventure Games out now. Looks like they will be 3rd person games. I still like the idea of a point-and-click style Doctor Who game (especially if it was made by Telltale!), but this trailer has piqued my interest in these.

I agree- point and click would probably be the best. Also a game where you can’t “die” or make any hideous mistakes that interfere with the game. More like an interactive story than video game so to speak.
But it does look neat. Also, the animation quality is on par with that cg animated thing they released last year, lol.
