Disney buys Star Wars!! 7th film coming!!!

It has been confirmed!! Disney will soon own the rights to LucasFilms and the Star Wars franchise with a new movie set for 2015?!  I feel a SuperTopic coming on!!  Share your thoughts and discuss here!

    I am actually pretty excited about this. I have long wanted the saga to continue and to see what happens next in this universe. I am hoping that they follow some of the story lines from the books and that they pick up with Luke (still played by Mark Hamill) as an older more seasoned Jedi Master. Also, Han and Leia had twin (boy and a girl) who become Jedi’s. Oh and also that Boba Fett fought his way out of the Sarlac pitt and survived!

      Uh ohhhh….Now you did it. Now that you wrote, this, Blue is going to give you his plan for what the movies should be. Hahaha. The man puts my large knowledge of the Star Wars universe to shame.

      You are correct about everything you said good sir. The Solo twins are Jaina and Jacen. I wanted to name a possible daughter I might have Jaina for a long time.

      I wouldn’t mind seeing a continuation of the classic trilogy, but do we really want to see Mark Hamil (as awesome a dude as he is) being the lead actor of a Star Wars movie at the age of 60?

      Think of how Harrison Ford did reviving Indiana Jones and he’s a big time star. I really think we need new blood, fast action, hardcore sci-fi for a new movie.

      Anyone else? Thoughts?

        My vision would be the twins as the stars and Mark Hamill as character that bridges the gap between the original saga and the new saga. Luke would become more of the Yoda type. Also, I do recall that in the books Luke turned to the darkside for a brief period to explore it. That would be an interesting vantage point to pick up from.

        Oh and I also envision the Forest Moon of Endor being blown up and all Ewoks dying a horrible and painful death. Too much?

    I’m not sure what has all the geeks on such a tissy I really excited. Though I haven’t read the books I’ve seen all the movies and loved all of them, I can’t wait to here more :D! Though did u see the price tag on lucusfilms HOLY CRAP!!!!!

      Well…especially on ILM (Industrial Lights and Magic) That is THE premiere special effects studio and by acquiring that, Disney is going to make all the money on other companies that come to them for special effects work. ILM does like 85% of movie special effects it sometimes feels like.

    I can’t believe everyone is shocked about the $4 billion deal…it doesn’t seem like enough to me! That franchise is worth double that!!! For as much money as it has made over the years, as much money as it still CAN make, he lets it go for 4 just because he was “tired of working so hard on something that won’t make everyone happy”??? HELLOOOOO!!! They are called trolls! They hate to hate! If you can’t take critisizm from jerkoffs that just want to see you squirm just because they are unhappy with their own lives, then why did you stay in the business so long? I think something is up, just watch, Lucas will become suddenly ill or die in some accident, just so he could go join an island with the rest of the fake dead celebrities. He will be dining with Elvis and Michael Jackson before long.
