Following the success of the BuffCast, Angel Investigations was launched on Geekshow.us in March of 2006. Following a similar format to the Buffcast, this podcast instead focuses on Joss Whedon’s Angel series. The format we chose for this podcast was 2-3 podcast episodes per season of the show. The show was wrapped up Janurary of 2008 with a total of 10 episodes available in our archives. It’s as good to listen to today as it was it was at the time it was put up. Enjoy!
Hosts: Randy McKinney and Wayne Porter
After many emails and death threats, we return with the conclusion to the Angel Investigations Podcast. We cover episodes 14 through 22 in a sad conclusion to the whole series. There was so much to talk about that show went on for almost 4 hours. We hope you enjoy this final episode as much as we loved recording them all. Maybe we didn’t want it to end that that’s why 8 months went by waiting for this one to be released.
Out of sight, out of mind? Or Absence makes the heart grow fonder? You decide, either way, we return Angel to your hearts and minds with the next to last episode. We take a look at Episodes 7-13 of the 5th season of Angel in this episode. It comes with a bit of bad news. The Enhanced Podcast is now 6 feet under. The amount of work needed to get it out for each episode was causing major delays. We enjoyed making this episode, and hopefully the next one won’t take as long to come about. Enjoy!
It’s once again past due, but it’s better late than never, right? Well, we have a bit of (maybe) good news. We’ve decided to split the season into three parts this time. While it’s true that this will cause the remainder of the show totake longer to complete, it also gives you more content. And perhaps most importantly, it also means that there will be more time to discuss the finale. So more episodes, same amount of time per episode, pretty much. We hope you enjoy the show!
Angel Investigations ticks nearer to completion with season 4, part 2 of 2. We’re a little delayed in getting this episode out, but it’s finally here. Listen in as we give our opinions on Jasmine, and the finale of Season 4. A lot of fun for all.
Well, here it is. The much-delayed episode of Angel Investigations. This week we begin with Season 4, and take you through 11 episodes. We are one step closer to completing the “Big Picture”;. We enjoy the season for the most part, though I think Wayne likes it a bit more than I did. Season 3 holds a special place in my heart, along with season 5 since I’m a sucker for Finales. In any case, we hope you like listening to this week’s episode. We’ll be back soon….I hope!
Hey guys and gals. Time for another episode of Angel Investigations, THE podcast for reviews of each season of Angel. Things are rolling on along nicely this week as we review the second half of the 3rd season. A stellar performance to say the least, with and ending that will shake up the characters quite a bit. Want to know how we felt about the individual episodes and which episodes we chose as our favorite and least favorites? Give the episode a listen and find out!
Season 3 of the BuffCast and Episode 3 of GeekiNtertainment were certifiable train-wrecks. With Angel season 3, we planned to insure that this did not happen again. After a week of delay, we present you with Angel Investigations Season 3. A lot thought and enjoyment went into making this episode, so hopefully we can break the mold of disappointing #3’s. This episode stands as our longest yet, clocking in at just under 2 hours and 55 minutes long. We use the episode to discuss in furious detail what we liked and disliked about each episode this season. Overall, the quality of the season was quite high and we enjoyed it. Most of the problems we had with certain events and episodes were nitpicking.
This marks the halfway point for the show, and it’s A game is definitely on for these episodes. Which episodes will end up being our most and least favorite of the season? Download and find out for yourself. Feel free to spread the 3 hours of Angel love over as many helpings as you see fit, and enjoy the ride.
We are glad you could join us for another episode of the Angel Investigations Podcast. Today’s episode covers the second half of season 2. We felt that the mood of the season dramatically changes after the first couple episodes of this half, and that’s for the better. Overall, an excellent selection of 11 episodes, and it was a blast to review them. We hope you enjoy them and come back for more next time!
Welcome back guys. This week we are taking a look at the second season episodes 1-11. Even though we didn’t find the season to be as strong as the first was at the mid-way point, we still had fun watching and reviewing the episodes this week. We hope you enjoy listening to them as well. As always, we hope you check out the enhanced podcast version to make use of the chapter markings for easy navigation. See you guys around!
Man guys, I tell you, that was Hell. I just spent right at 8 hours working on getting the new episode pieced together. That’s in addition to the nearly three hours it took to record it tonight. The problem was that we originally didn’t know that there was a way to increade the length you can record in Garageband(Lower the number of beats per minute, if you are wondering). So we had to record to two files. Then, something as simple as putting the two files together was made increasingly difficult by the fact that they were A> So Large, B> Had to be assembled in a NEW file with the correct beats, and C> Wanted to keep changing speeds and throwing me for a loop.
But now its done. Kind of. Today I am releasing the file in AAC. I’ve went all out and made chapter marks completely with links to episode guides and episode pictures. I hope you guys view this in iTunes and/or a video/photo iPod to take advatange of it. For those that don’t have an AAC supported player, be on the lookout for the MP3 version sometime tommorrow. I’m dead and don’t have the time to figure out how I want to do that just yet. So until then, enjoy.
For the Enhanced version of the podcast, we’ve included some Episode Guide Links and Pictures for your entertainment. So we are more than happy to give a special thanks to CityofAngel.com for this material:
