GeekiN Episode #67: 03/17/08

This weeks episode is a little late due to technical difficulties on Wayne’s end. We discussed the XNA Game Developers SDK briefly and the iPhone SDK as well. Wayne’s wife took Randy’s advice and bought the first book in the series A Song of Ice and Fire. We talk about the TV series we have been trying to keep up with, such as The Sarah Connor Chronicles. GeekiN Episode #66: 03/07/08

This week, Randy tries to catch up on all the TV shows he’s been missing out on.  We discuss the Call of Duty franchise as well as a few other things Wayne has discovered since checking out the Xbox Live Marketplace.  We discuss a few up coming games including Left 4 Dead.  The GeekiNbox takes a bit of time since we only covered half of it last time.  Normal segments such as the Geek Jerk Reaction and the Box Office Report find their way into the end too.  Leave us a comment and let us know what you though.

GeekiN Episode #65: 02/27/08

Wayne finally got an Xbox 360 as a birthday present and the world rejoiced. Randy got a new TV and is loving it even though he has an issue with HDMI and Optical Audio working together. GeekiN Episode #63: 01/31/08

GeekiN Episode #62: 01/26/08

The longest episode to date means plenty of fun stuff to talk about.  We both watched Cloverfield and give our take on what we think about it.  Randy mourns the loss of his XBox 360, while Wayne still wishes he had one.  We spent quite a bit of time on the GeekiNBox since many of you have written into us with questions.  All our normal segments still found their way into the show too.  Computer problems and time issues delayed this episode, but we shouldn’t have a problem like that again.

Angel Investigations Season 5: 3 of 3 – 01/23/08

After many emails and death threats, we return with the conclusion to the Angel Investigations Podcast. We cover episodes 14 through 22 in a sad conclusion to the whole series. There was so much to talk about that show went on for almost 4 hours. We hope you enjoy this final episode as much as we loved recording them all. Maybe we didn’t want it to end that that’s why 8 months went by waiting for this one to be released.

GeekiN Episode #61: 01/02/08

The holidays came and went, delaying the show for almost a week. We return with a nice long discussion about what we got and how much we love receiving. Randy’s was surprised with an HDDVD player and Wayne got his much needed Guitar Hero Wireless Guitar controller. We learned that Wayne likes to jump around when playing guitar games and that His wife, Jess is better than him at most of those games. Randy talks about the movies he’s seen over the holidays including Juno, I am Legend, Alvin & the Chipmunks, and The Golden Compass. Now iPhone and iPod Touch Friendly

If you own an iPhone or and iPod Touch then you no doubt have been checking out what is new at Geekshow.us but have to scroll, zoom, pan, and squint to read the articles.  Thanks to a new plug-in for WordPress from Contentrobot, we now have a site that is made for the small screens.  If you notice any problems with the site on the iPhone or iPod Touch or even on a standard computer, please let us know.  Also, comment on this article if you own an iPhone or iPod Touch so we can have a good estimate on how many people this really applies to.

Guitar Hero II Xbox 360 Problem

Here’s an interesting news for anyone who bought Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360.  There was more than one model of the guitar controller made and shipped with the game.  For some unlucky folks (Randy included) The whammy bar does not work correctly.  This issue has been brought to the attention of the manufacturer, Red Octane, and they seem to be working on the problem.  There are many websites dedicated to opening up the guitar and fixing the problem yourself, but Red Octane seems to think it may be a software issue.  According to their website, there is a patch available to download through Xbox Live to fix the problem.  However, this may not be a viable fix.  If you have the models 95065 and 95055 of the guitar, Red Octane has said in emails to customers who have complained that they should return it to the store it was purchased for a different model.  Now the only question that remains is will the store let you return it?  Good luck to all who try.  Makes you wonder if this is the result of a rush release or just faulty manufacturing.
