Saturday, June 25th, 2005 GeekiN Podcast Pilot Released

GeekiNtertainment Podcast Pilot episode is better than we could ever imagine and we hope you guys love it too. We went over the time we set for ourselves so we had to split it up into 2 parts.

Part One:
Part Two:

First things first, we mentioned Battlestar Galactica. Randy knows quite a bit about the show, but I didn’t know anything, so he gives a nice rundown and info for people that know nothing about it. Then we moved on to Doctor Who?. We found some of the first season and watched a few episodes and loved it, so of course we had to talk about it. Next we moved on to Star Trek. There have been many different flavors of this series so we had to cover them all, including The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager, and Enterprise. After our long talk that was supposed to only be a few minutes, we then moved on to breifly discuss the possible Star Wars series. After that we moved on to talk about Firefly. Mostly how we can’t wait till the movie comes out.

Part 2 goes into depth about movies that we have seen and would like to see. The first of which is The Da Vinci Code. Then we moved onto talking about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Next we gave our take on what we thought about the upcoming War of the Worlds. Then we mentioned briefly about StarWars Episode III. We also mentioned Fantastic Four. Randy brought up some good info about Superman and how much they have made and was looking up info while we were talking.

There was some good news and great stuff Randy brought to the show when he sprung some great info on us. First thing was the news that Vin Diesel was to play the lead role in Hitman. This news really saddened us. Then we touched on the news that Brett Ratner was going to direct X-Men 3. Then we touched base on the status of the Halo movie. Then Randy brought up some info of how Batman Begins was doing in the box office and how it broke records in IMAX theaters. The most exciting news I heard all week was that Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) is going to star in American McGee’s Alice. Lastly, Randy mentioned that Alan Cumming is not on for the next X-Men movie.

After that we moved on to our reviews of 2 movies we both have gone to see recently. Howl’s Moving Castle, which we both scored a 3 out of 5, and Batman Begins, which I scored a 4 out of 5 and Randy gave it a 5 out of 5. We also discussed rumors of sequels.
